The trend shows that timber construction will increasingly gain market share compared to conventional solid construction. Accordingly, investments in the development and optimization of prefabrication of timber construction elements are worthwhile in order to be well positioned for the future in the construction industry.
Some companies are currently investing to position themselves well for the future, while others are using potentially lower capacity to redesign operations and processes to produce more efficiently. We have had good discussions on both topics and are looking forward to optimization projects as well as new factory planning on "greenfield" sites.
The discussions with "classic" construction companies that have already decided or are considering entering timber construction are particularly exciting. SCHULER Consulting has already carried out several projects for the strategic orientation of these companies. This means conducting feasibility studies and preliminary projects for the establishment of their own prefabrication of timber construction elements (with or without modular production). We develop individual solutions and provide answers to the questions that should be clarified before making investment decisions:
- What does the optimal timber construction production look like for my individual elements/objects?
- What do I need for it (machines, equipment, handling, etc.)?
- What is the space requirement (hall, property, etc.)?
- Everyone wants highly automated production! But at any cost?
- How many employees do I need for an economically viable production?
We work out the most cost-effective solution for you, with the optimal level of automation and of course an overview of the total investment. If necessary, we calculate ROI or production and unit costs for your products/objects.
