LIGNA 2023 was a great success!

A packed exhibition hall and enthusiastic visitors! HOMAG's trade fair appearance at LIGNA 2023 was a spectacular event that inspired all visitors with innovative solutions and impressive presentations. Together with their partners—WEINMANN, Kallesoe and System TM—HOMAG formed a concept comprising three stands that took attendees into a fascinating world of possibilities in wood processing. With more than 7500 visitors, the company can look back on a successful week at the trade fair.

Working hand in hand to increase sustainability and efficiency in production

In addition to product innovations, this year, HOMAG also presented key topics that are of vital importance for the wood processing industry. One of these topics was sustainability, which plays a central role alongside continuously increasing costs and responsibility for our environment. HOMAG impressively demonstrated how sustainability and efficiency in production can go hand in hand to reduce environmental impact and save costs.

HOMAG CARES — Joint commitment to a good cause

One special highlight was the comprehensive expansion of the HOMAG CARES program, which previously primarily addressed social aspects. All sustainability aspects have now been bundled under this initiative to achieve the HOMAG climate targets as quickly as possible: 70% less emissions from HOMAG and 15% less from their machines. LIGNA 2023 marked important progress as the most sustainable trade fair appearance in the history of HOMAG.

The "HOMAG CARES about Transformation" project was particularly noteworthy. In cooperation with customer MECAKIM and the design company CARDUMEN, HOMAG was involved in completely renovating the playground of the Llevant school in Badalona, Spain. This school provides education and support for children with disabilities. Visitors had the opportunity to participate in this project by purchasing HOMAG products and sample workpieces in return for a donation.

Live shows and machine innovations: Technology first-hand

The daily live shows in the HOMAG event lounge were another highlight. Here, all visitors were able to experience first-hand how the latest technologies and machines work in action. From technical demonstrations to digital content, the shows offered a varied program.

This year, the new STORETEQ F-100 single-axis feeder was among the new machine innovations in the area of panel dividing saws. Specially optimized for the SAWTEQ S-200 panel dividing saw, this automatic panel feeder enables fully automatic production, even with the entry-level series. With intuitive operation via woodStore 8 and perfect synchronization with the saw, HOMAG is setting new standards in wood processing.

The DRILLTEQ V-310 impressed in the area of CNC processing, with its extensive equipment and high degree of flexibility. It is space-saving and efficient, ensuring resource-saving production with zero setup time. With intuitive operation through the intelliGuide operator assistance system and ergonomic functions, the DRILLTEQ V-310 is setting new benchmarks when it comes to precision and comfort.

A new product from the world of edge banding machines was the EDGETEQ S-500 narrow parts machine, which was presented alongside other innovative products. It enables the production of narrow workpieces, such as drawer fronts, and is able to process different profiles with maximum precision.

Performance and added value with VALYOU

Of course, service from HOMAG was not forgotten at LIGNA. Life Cycle Services was represented with VALYOU and many other highlights. All visitors had the opportunity to experience the performance of VALYOU for themselves and could take part in a prize draw where they were in with a chance of winning attractive prizes such as vouchers for spare parts, repairs or service contracts.

Solution Hub: Experiencing the world of batch size 1 furniture production

HOMAG Solution Hub was yet another impressive highlight at the trade fair. In this innovative concept, HOMAG presented the entire range of options for batch size 1 furniture production. Visitors were whisked into a virtual world where they could experience different performance classes and concepts. Together with the technical experts from HOMAG, they were able to develop tailor-made solutions that could be accessed and experienced on site. The HOMAG Solution Hub offered all visitors a unique opportunity to experience the future of individual furniture production and see the performance of HOMAG solutions for themselves.

Immersion in the world of innovation

Another highlight of the trade fair appearance was the HOMAG Innovation Center, which gave visitors an exclusive insight into the future of wood processing. Upcoming inventions and product innovations were presented there, including machine technologies, self-adjusting systems and resource-efficient production solutions. Visitors were able to experience first-hand how HOMAG is shifting the boundaries of wood processing ever further.

Intensive dialog and valuable contacts

The trade fair offered an excellent platform for establishing valuable contacts and exchanging ideas with all visitors in direct dialog. In particular, the direct consulting services with HOMAG experts attracted a great deal of interest.

A successful trade fair is always a team effort from all divisions based on market-oriented products. The positive feedback from customers is great motivation for all HOMAG employees and an incentive for the future!
